Irvine hails ‘breathtaking’ Baggies after Burnley win

first_imgWest Brom manager Alan Irvine praised his side following their 4-0 win against Burnley.Saido Berahino scored twice, with Craig Dawson and Graham Dorrans grabbing the others.Unsurprisingly, Irvine was pleased with the football on display. “I thought the football we played was breathtaking at times,” he said after the game.“We scored two wonderful goals with great passing moves and created a number of chances with the same kind of play.“I felt the lads passed the ball really well, our movement was really good and the game plan we’ve worked on all week has come to fruition.”The manager also pointed out the significance of the Baggies’ third goal.“It was important because we knew Burnley would have a spell in the game and they did and fortunately that was after the third goal.“It probably didn’t make it as frightening for us but I’m just delighted we’ve managed to get such a good result against a team that has been very good defensively in the Premier League this season.”last_img read more
